I’m Working Out

December 12, 2013 By Mrs. Mom 2 Comments

I’ve never been the one to worry about my weight or my health. I’ve always been pretty athletic. Yet here I am at this point in my life, after my fourth child, finding myself in a new place. I want to make sure that I’m eating healthy and living healthy. I want to keep my body in shape, not a round one, in most parts, and I want to live a long healthy life.

With that being said, I have decided to start working out. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I will walk or run for a minimum of 20 minutes. Then I. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I will do other forms of exercise to work on the other parts of my body for a minimum of 20 minutes as well.

I have to admit that I feel good after working out. I feel like it gets my day moving in the right direction. I wonder what my body will look and feel like in the next 30, 60, or 90 days.

What if?

December 11, 2013 By Mrs. Mom Leave a Comment

Today, I watched this video. As I sat and watched it, I ask my self questions. There were things that could say and there are points that I can argue with about the video, but ultimately, I have to say that it inspired me.

I began to think…

What if I stop allowing fear to have a place in my life?

What if I lived completely free?

What if I stopped hiding and allowed my personality to shine through 100%?

What if I became courageous and worked on my dreams and goals?

What if I lived like I was going to die tomorrow? How beautiful would my life be?

I don’t mean any of this in a negative way…I’m just saying that I am looking at my life and wondering what it would be like to walk in the freedom that God gave me through Jesus. I’m wondering how much I hold back…what do I hold on to?

I want to be all that God created me to be. I want to live until I am an old woman…135 old woman 🙂 Yet who knows when their time is up on this earth. Hezekiah knew and asked for more time. I want to see my kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids grow up. I want a life worth living and inspiring!

Today I am thankful for the inspiration. I am thankful for the encouragement.

Lord,
Help me to live this life to the fullest. Help me to walk in faith and to live courageously. Let my life be inspiring and full of love and joy. Help me to be the best that you created me to be. In Jesus’ mighty name. ~Amen

No Radio Today

November 20, 2013 By Mrs. Mom Leave a Comment

As much as I really wanted to, I couldn’t. I was super busy today with my girls. They both had doctors appt a and shots. No one likes that. So, needless to say, I’m tired. That means that I’ll be doing my radio show tomorrow because there was no room for it today.

If you were looking for it, I just wanted you to know.

Confession #1

I have a confession.

I need to do this now.

I can’t keep it in any longer.

Here it goes…

No matter how much I like school, and I do like school…I don’t like to do the work.
I do it because I have to…and that in itself is a struggle.

Whew!!! That felt good!
