I am so thankful. This year I received a Kitchen-Aid for Christmas. Well, it isn’t Christmas yet, but I got my gift early.
I decided to make some cookies. I have a friend that made me some oatmeal cookies. They were sooooo good. So, upon receiving my gift, I had determined that I would make my own.
So I gathered all of my ingredients and I began to mix them. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited about cooking. I think the reason for that is because I know how to cook, but I’ve always found baking intimidating. Now that I’ll be able to bake things with my new “assistant,” it shouldn’t be as hard.
Once I mixed them, I scooped them out. My kids and I rolled them out into little balls and put them on the cookie sheet.
The smell of these cookies was so pleasant, even before I began to bake them. It was as if I had walked into the candle store at the mall. (I don’t know the name of it )
I made a batch of oatmeal and a batch of oatmeal raisin.
Finally they were done. My kids and I sampled them, as they cooled off. They were delicious. If you don’t believe me this is the testimony of my son. “Mom you should be on one of those cooking shows.” Another satisfied customer said “Mom, these are so good!” Now recent studies in my kitchen have shown that I don’t do well with store brought cookies.
I am very pleased with the results and so is my family.
I think I’m going to send a batch to my mom, very soon.
