The Joys Of Mothering

I absolutely love those days where our agenda isn’t full and there is time to do anything that we want to do.  Those are the days when we just laugh so much that our faces hurt and and the spot behind our ears ache from smiling so much.  On these days, my husband, my kids, and I go outside and play tag or jump on the trapoline.

Today was…well, it still is one of those days.  I wanted to take my kids out somewhere but when we got there my daughter had an accident and I didn’t have a change of clothes so we had to make a u-turn and go back home.  Once back at our palace, I decided to go outside with the kids to play.  While outside my daughter, Precious, ran to a corner of the house and started counting.  At the end, she screamed in the cutenessss way, because she’s only two, “Ready or not, here I come!”  The boys, X-Man and Ice Man, looked around as if they couldn’t believe that she really wanted to play. I watched today as these there beautiful children of mine, played.  I was thrilled because for at least 30 minutes, there was no arguing, only laughter and smiles.

I couldn’t help but grab my netbook and blog about the joy that I was experiencing.  I believe that it is every parents dream to sit and relax at the end of a busy day and listen to laughter of their children as the giggle in a way that only children can.  Coupled together with the sound of the birds chirping as I felt the soft breeze, this was for today, my taste of heaven.  God had heard my prayer and led me beside the still waters.

Oh how, I enjoyed those moments…and I look forward to more.
