There are so many new opportunities that have opened up to me. There is a big world out there, but the internet shrinks it down. Meeting new people has a become easier and blogging is now more fun.
Blogging
Blogger’s Voice To Be Heard
Aren’t we all having a great time blog
hopping?! I don’t know about you but I am. It is really nice to see
all of the websites and blogs.
Thank you 5 Minutes for Mom for coming up with such a great idea and
then taking it to such great heights, that the world of each woman has could be expanded from the four walls of her home and reached across the
globe.
As I continue all of the blog hopping with
5minutesformom’s Ultimate Blog Party 2011, I am realizing that the majority
of us, the participants, really want to get our blog, facebook,
and twitter information out in the online world. Don’t get me wrong, it is fun (I will definitely do it again) and there are some blog
visits that I have been able to really sit down and read, but then
there are others that I kinda through because I know there are
so many to see in only a weeks time; plus I want my site to get
noticed as well. As I hop around from blog to blog, I am thankful for the
wonderful women at 5 minutes who had such a great idea, yet I realize that
it just makes me want more.
What more could there be you ask? As I work on my blog and I
hop around to others, I realized that each blogger has put in the
time to express themselves in their own corner of the blog world. I
realize that these aren’t just pictures on a site nor are is it just
music playing in my ears. Instead, these are the voices of women in
different parts of the earth waiting to be heard.
I know you are still thinking…”more, what more could there be?” I
have decided to make room for the opportunity to connect again with
those women. Randomly I will be selecting a blog/website to review
and to read the posts. Then I will feature the site on my blog under
Blogger’s Voice To Be Heard For The Week.
The list will come from blogs listed on my twitter page followers,
facebook friend, off the web, and lists that I have accumulated from the
Ultimate Blog Party. If you would like to be included in that list,
please enter your information in the Linky below and don’t forget to
follow me on twitter.
Once the site has been reviewed, it will be added to the blogroll for Blog Voices To Be Heard. Be encouraged and keep on blogging, someone is
listening.
ULTIMATE BLOG PARTY 2011
For all of you visiting my blog for the first time. I am married to a wonderful man and we have three great children. Now I know that every mom says that about their kids, but I really mean it. When I say great, I mean…My kids are adventurous, intelligent, fun, loving, caring, athletic, and did I say, adventurous? I know I probably did, but I just need you to understand that my kids give me a ride and although sometimes, I’m holding on by a thread, it is so much fun being their mom.
Lets take tonight for instance. We all know, well those of us who have been anticipating the ultimate blog party, that we needed to get ready for April 1st. Well, although I knew I needed to get ready, I wasn’t sure what I needed to do, so I naturally I got the kids in the bed early and I thought that I would have time to do all that needed to be done for the party. Well as I sat in my living room on my netbook reading the posts on 5minutes for mom, my oldest son, X-man came out of his room and told me that his little brother, Ice Man, had gone into his room and taken his scissors. I was concerned, but I knew that nothing terrible had happened because Isaiah has had scissors before and the worst thing that he has ever done was cut his blanket in half. Yes, I know that’s bad, but at least he hadn’t attempted to cut his or anyone else’s hair. Yet…yes, I did say yet. X-man explained that Ice Man was in the bathroom with the scissors pretending to cut the lines in the bathroom. He was only pretending, right?! Well, as Isaiah stood in front of me with this really innocent look on his face, I realized that it looked like a patch of his hair was missing. He grabbed his hair and said, “What’s this in my hair?” I thought to myself, caught between an frown and a smile, “You have got to be kidding me!!!” I just knew that my son had not cut his hair. Boy was I wrong. He cut it down like someone had put a clipper to his head and gave him a one in a circle. Well, I talked to him and punished him. I collected all of the scissors from around the house and I sent him to bed.
My daughter kept calling my name saying that she needed to be changed, so I to her to check, because she often times plays tricks on me just to get me to take her out of bed, only to find that she really did need to be changed. While changing her, I noticed that there were balls of hair on her clothes…you guessed it. Isaiah had decided that he wanted to play barber and cut some of his sister’s hair too. Now thank God that neither case is extremely bad, but it all happened as I was trying to prepare.
This is just a little taste of my life as a mom. Its fun and funny. As I thought of what had just happened, I was tickled by the way that it happened. I even took a picture and laughed at the face Isaiah made as he stood there not knowing if he was taking a mug shot or a photo for grandma and granddaddy.
Remember…they are really great kids, just adventurous…
I’m just a fun going mom. I am always looking for great things to do with my friend, family, and kids. I enjoy knitting, reading, singing, dancing, and I love God with all of my heart. I am extremely excited about this UBP2011 and I look forward to meeting you.
This Blog Thing!
This is a bit different for me. There is a lot of planning and thinking that has to go into blogging; or so I have thought. It has taken me a while to sit down at the computer and actually start typing for this blog because I am a bit nervous. Let’s look at it for a moment. Everything that I say and everything that I mention has the capacity to be viewed by the whole entire world. Not to say that the whole world is actually going to visit my site, but whose to say that it won’t happen that way. I really am excited about it, but some of the pressure has to be released. It’s my fault though. I look at my kids, my family, my life and I wonder what will this look like to the individual who just doesn’t understand. Honestly, that’s not my responsibility. I just have to do my best to paint the picture well and be honest, that ‘s my whole point of blogging anyway. Right?! Right?!
The truth is, this picture isn’t always pretty and that’s ok. This is my place to express me as a mom and I’m not going to sweat it. What I am going to do is take a look at the other blogs that are on the internet and pray. I think if I do that, I will be a bit more comfortable with the whole blog thing.
Well, that wasn’t too bad…BLOG!!!
